The Lone Ant

It was a typical Thursday morning in the NY office where I worked.

I was sitting at my desk working away on producing some videos for my company’s products and the CFO who sits right next to me (no cubicle boundry) starts futzing around at his desk playing with a small peice of yellow notepaper from his notepad saying “What’s this? What’s this?”

Of course I look over.  Low and behold a teeny tiny minature ant had found it’s way to my CFO’s desk and YES, right onto his little yellow notepad.  I knew what was coming next so I blurted out “No! Don’t kill him!”

“He doesn’t belong on my desk”, he responded as I watched him shake the pad flinging the little guy to the floor.

“Too late.” I thought.

I went back to working on my videos, disappointed I had failed the little ant lost on my CFO’s desk.

About ten minutes or so passed and I, for whatever reason, looked over at my phone.

Guess who was there frantically crawling around ?  Yup, the little lost ant!!!

I was so excited!!

I gentltly picked up my phone, ran to the front door, and set the little guy free.

“YAYYAAYYYAYAYAY!!!!” I thought.

I wondered as I walked back to my desk (thrilled with the outcome the ant and I experienced together), “had the ant felt the vibration of my desire to save his life and set him free?  Did it hone in on that vibration and find its way to me?”

Coincidence or is everything connected?

I believe….every thing on this planet is infinitely…connected.
